About the Role


An experienced and commercially minded Finance Director / Controller will lead the finance function nationally for this Distribution business. This is a senior leadership role that combines strong technical accounting expertise with strategic business partnership.

You will oversee financial reporting, internal controls, planning, and performance management, while partnering closely with the General Manager to drive profitable growth.

This role requires someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of translating financial data into meaningful business insight.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with SOX etc.
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
  • Provide clear, actionable financial analysis to support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Oversee cash flow, working capital, and financial controls.
  • Partner with business leaders on pricing strategy, margin improvement, and growth initiatives.
  • Develop KPIs and performance dashboards to measure financial and operational success.
  • Support mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and post-acquisition integration.
  • Lead and develop the finance team across accounting, reporting, AP/AR, payroll, and credit.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulations.
  • Drive continuous process improvement and leverage digital tools to enhance efficiency.

What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • 8+ years of progressive finance experience, including senior-level leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of internal controls, and regulated reporting environments.
  • Experience supporting M&A transactions is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly.
