Sydney North Health Network (SNHN) operates the Northern Sydney PHN, one of 31 Primary Health Networks established by the Australian Government to increase the effectiveness of medical services in the community. We partner with over 2,000 members including general practitioners, nurses, allied health practitioners, practice manager and consumer representatives, supporting diverse communities across the Northern Sydney region. Our approach and success is founded on partnership with our members, Northern Sydney Local Health District and other health services, reflected in our vision "Achieving together – better health, better care.
SNHN is a thought leader within contemporary primary and integrated care. Following recent changes, we are now seeking an outstanding CEO to build upon these achievements and to take SNHN, the team and partners to the next stage. Reporting to the Board and managing a budget of $43m and a team of 70, the CEO will:
We are seeking a visionary CEO from within the broad healthcare setting; private, NFP or public. You will demonstrate a track record of driving innovation and change through a combination of strategy, structure and people, to achieve outstanding engagement and outcomes for the communities served. You will understand government relationships and programs and have the capacity to identify opportunities and work with stakeholders to deliver on PHN objectives. We are seeking a natural leader with high emotional intelligence who can inspire those around them. A curious mindset and passion for healthcare and the impact it has on the community is essential.
This represents a wonderful opportunity for a commercially astute, values-driven and experienced CEO to join SNHN at a pivotal moment in our evolution. You will help to shape the future of the organisation, the team and the broader primary care ecosystem and ultimately support the delivery of world class services for communities across Northern Sydney.

- Lead a digital transformation and innovation agenda, optimising capability, capacity and decision making;
- Collaborate with the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing, building effective and impactful relationships;
- Explore and develop non-government funding streams such as fundraising, philanthropy, corporate partnerships and bequests;
- Represent SNHN at relevant state, national and international events, ensuring it continues to shape the conversation in line with global best practice;
- Exercise prudent financial stewardship, ensuring operations are delivered within agreed budgets;
- Optimise the power of the PHN national network, accelerating impact;
- Foster a positive, inclusive and high performing culture.
