Kate is a Research Consultant at Derwent, partnering with our Professional Services and Industrial practice. Based in Sydney, she brings over eight years of experience at Derwent and a career-long specialisation in market intelligence, competitive analysis, and data-driven talent solutions across regulated and professional services environments.

Kate's commercial background, built across finance, insurance, and professional services, gives her a sharp understanding of the technical and regulatory attributes that define high-performing leadership talent in these settings. Her work spans financial services, professional services, public sector, and regulated industries including telecommunications and energy. Known for identifying non-obvious talent and developing creative search strategies, she applies this rigour in ways that consultants and clients consistently value. She is also actively involved in mentoring research team members and embedding best practice across the group.

Prior to joining Derwent, Kate held senior research roles at Deloitte, Suncorp, Ernst & Young, and Macquarie Group, building deep expertise in stakeholder engagement and strategic analysis across financial services, consumer business, and property. 

Kate holds an Executive MBA (with Distinction) from RMIT University, along with postgraduate qualifications in Marketing, and Knowledge Management, and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from Macquarie University.
