The Governance, Legal and Risk team exits to protect and enhance the brand reputation of TAFE NSW. The branch is led by the General Manager Governance, Legal and Risk, and high-performance managers who are committed to leading based on the guiding principles of professionalism, service and wellbeing.
This role is responsible for formulating and implementing the overall organisational strategy to embed and promote best practice corporate governance across TAFE NSW. You'll be enabling the Board and Executive to drive superior business performance and mitigate potential compliance and reputational risks to the organisation.
This is a rare and challenging opportunity to shape enterprise governance at the same time as delivering short-term day to day operational demands within deadlines, and to progressively implement important longer-term priorities efficiently.
We are seeing a values-based leader with experience building the capability and inspiring the performance of a diverse team spanning areas such as compliance, secretariat, governance, records management, privacy and GIPA functions. We are ideally seeking experience in the public sector with the proven capability to engage effectively with government sector stakeholders and regulators.
You will be joining an ambitious and progressive leadership team and have significant scope to contribute to the reform agenda and success of this large, complex and very important organisation.
