Council's vision is to foster a safe, inclusive, connected community that lives in balance with their environment. The breadth of Council's service delivery is significant, and it strives to deliver the highest levels of customer service through an exceptional leadership team, over 1,800 staff and a budget of around $500 million p.a.

This role is a member of the Executive Leadership Team and leads a direct team of around 100 people in the design and delivery some of Council's most vital services, including:

  • Domestic & public place waste collection, disposal and processing
  • Public place cleaning including parks, roads, town centres and beaches
  • Key oversight/liaison with Council's majority owned Kimbriki Resource Recovery Centre

A key focus of your role will be embedding a new waste collection contract with Council's major service delivery partner and working closely with them to enhance services over the 10-year life of the contract.

We are seeking an experienced leader with knowledge of relevant innovation and industry trends to drive performance improvement and ensure our customers are at the center of everything we do.
