MoleMap is a world leading provider of skin cancer and melanoma detection, diagnosis and surveillance services using state of the art technology. MoleMap is present in both Australia and New Zealand and employs 100 staff, across the network of 80 clinics, providing services to 55,000 patients annually. MoleMap's strategy is to continue geographic expansion and introduce innovative approaches to enhance engagement with the patients and with the practitioners who manage them. Given their current size and complexity and their future growth strategies they are now looking to appoint a permanent Chief Medical Officer to the executive team.
As Chief Medical Officer, you will report to the Chief Executive Officer and have overall responsibility for the clinical operations and provision of clinical diagnosis for the organisation. This requires you to:
- Ensure the company is compliant with regulatory requirements
- Maintain highest possible clinical standards and effective systems and processes
- Provide best practise training to dermatologists and melanographers
- Represent MoleMap to industry and professional bodies
MoleMap has a history of supporting research and is about to expand this significantly. As lead clinician in the company there is great scope for initiating and managing clinical research conducted in concert with leading academics and specialists in other related fields. The current area of focus is artificial intelligence applied to the entre work cycle of skin cancer detection and management.
Given the nature of the position, we are seeking a member of The Australasian College of Dermatologists with a specialisation in skin cancer and a strong interest in melanoma. You will also offer some level of clinical risk management experience. Your clinical experience may very well have been augmented through your participation with associations, advisory panels and/or government bodies.
