The City of Parramatta is going through unprecedented change and transformation as it becomes Sydney's Central City. With an expected $20 billion in projects under construction or projected over the next five years, the Council, their partners, and community have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to shape the whole City's future and ensure it is culturally, socially, environmentally and economically sustainable. City-changing projects under way include the Powerhouse Precinct, Parramatta Light Rail, Parramatta Square, Riverside Theatres and the Westmead Innovation Precinct.
Council's vision to be sustainable, liveable, productive and inspired by their communities requires quality urban design, access to local employment, strong investment and heritage preservation. It also means ensuring the right services are in place to support the needs of a diverse community.
The CEO is responsible for bringing Council's vision to life through strategic and operational plans, managing an annual budget of approximately $460m, including capital expenditure of $187m, organisational leadership of 1,200 staff, and engaging with stakeholders to meet the challenges that come with significant change.
You will be an inspirational CEO who has led large and complex organisations and created cultures where integrity, customer focus, teamwork and innovation thrive. It is essential you have proven your ability to achieve strategic objectives through building strong partnerships with community, government and business stakeholders. Experience in the government sector and working with elected representatives will be well regarded.
This is a unique opportunity to play a significant role in the development of one of Australia's most important and exciting Cities and leave a valuable legacy for generations to come.
