Job Description

  • 6 Month Contract
  • Ability to support a high growth business
  • Private Equity setting
Interim CFO required for a business disrupting the energy sector and seeking a commercial, operational and strategic Interim CFO to support growth

This growing energy and services business requires an Interim CFO to lead and support the organisation for the next 6 months. The company's turnover is circa $250M and they anticipate significant further growth - both organically and via acquisition. This vertically integrated business has an interesting complexity due to the different nature of its business units, technology, EPC, and generation. This is an exciting opportunity where you can demonstrate your leadership skills and commercial acumen.

Reporting to the CEO, you would be joining an executive team with a proven track record in supporting the growth a business. Funding and business partnering will be key to the role over the next 6 months.

You are a CFO with a track record in adding impact operationally, commercially, and strategically. Ideally you have helped grow businesses within the technology, financial services, or energy sector or in a private equity setting. You will lead Finance, Treasury, Business Operations and M&A so need to bring a broader commercial background than just finance.
You have a strong focus on people, process and systems as well as implementing the appropriate infrastructure to fuel growth. You will be CA/CPA qualified and have experience as a CFO of a growing mid-sized company (ASX listed, Private Equity, Private). Your commercial partnership across the business, executive team, and your ability to extract insights from data are key components of the role. You can deliver simultaneously on KPI/metric reporting, cashflow forecasting and management, board reporting as well as commercial activities including acquisitions. You enjoy being visible in operations to provide the bridge between the Board and the business. You are hands-on but can also add strategic value at the EXCO and Board level.
