Alfred Health has one of the most experienced and technologically advanced Radiology/Nuclear Medicine departments in the country. They provide a comprehensive range of medical diagnostic and therapeutic services with a modern range of equipment across all modalities for both inpatients and outpatients.

Reporting to the Program Director of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, Director of Nuclear Medicine and PET, the Director of Operations, Radiology, is a newly created role, and is responsible for providing an operational and strategic management for Alfred Hospital Radiology, Nuclear Medicine-PET and Sandringham Hospital Radiology (24 hours, 365 days per annum).

Alfred Health is a highly complex, diverse and specialised health service. The Director of Operations – Radiology position necessitates the capacity to work across complexity, but with a detailed, nimble and responsive focus. Alfred Health is therefore in search of a director that acts as the implementation partner of the Program Director of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, Director of Nuclear Medicine and PET and through diligent systems, process and people management, provides:

  • Success in managing busy and complex services of scale, with a proactive approach to managing service bottlenecks and people-related issues.
  • A track record of cultivating successful and sustainable partnerships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and demonstrates the strategic vision and energy to lead and develop a complex service.
  • The passion to drive the very best outcomes in patient care, you will possess high EQ, strong people management and diplomacy skills and a background in continuous improvement / innovation.
  • A deep background in procurement and information technology would be highly prized, as will skills in building a collaborative culture, strong engagement, and delivering uncompromising quality and safety.
