The Port Authority of New South Wales manages the navigation, security and operational safety needs of commercial shipping in New South Wales (Sydney Harbour, Port Botany, Newcastle Harbour, Port Kembla, Eden and Yamba). With over 6,000 visits from trade and cruise vessels each year, the Port Authority works 24/7 to ensure the safety of commercial shipping, the security of our working ports and the protection of our marine environment.
The position will report to the Group Executive, Assets & Development and provide leadership and direction to the Asset Management team. Provide advice to Executives, CEO, Board on the asset management, maintenance and renewal for the Port Authorities asset base.
This new created role will direct the assets team to deliver the business objectives and strategies related to the optimisation, maintenance, and operations of land and marine assets for the Port Authority. It will lead a change initiative to implementation of the Asset Management Improvement program and the delivery of the Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP). Ensure CMMS system is consistently utilised across the portfolio.
Providing support to the Group Executive, Assets & Development in leading, developing and directing the commercial outcomes, and Asset and Development teams to achieve optimisation of the Authorities assets and infrastructure development across all ports. Communicate regularly with Senior Management to keep them informed of risks, issues, and opportunities within asset management.
We are seeking a talented executive with a deep experience in strategic asset management and asset maintenance. You will demonstrate a track record of developing frameworks and systems to optimise an asset management function. You will have strong project management and procurement experience. You will have extensive experience in influencing and engaging operations to bring about change in asset management processes and approaches. You will demonstrate superior communication and stakeholder management capability.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering or asset management and relevant post-graduate qualifications are essential.
