Job Description

The NSW Department of Education employs nearly 100,000 people and is the largest provider of public education in Australia with responsibility for delivering high-quality public education to two-thirds of the NSW student population. This represents over 800,000 students in more than 2,200 public schools. The Department also works closely with the non-government school sector to ensure the delivery of a high-quality and equitable education for all students.

To advance the Department as a world leader in education, a leading cloud-based human capital management (HCM) and talent management solution is being developed, transitioning legacy independent HCM systems into SAP SuccessFactors.

This exciting new role has been created to provide the project with business leadership from the People Group, following a period of significant technology-based project development.

In this role you will have responsibility for setting the program up for success, including the advising on the resourcing requirements and ensuring that project activities align with the needs of business and relevant employment legislation and agreements. Your priorities will include engaging with stakeholders to identify immediate improvement opportunities and agree expectations regarding the system outputs, benefits, and related timelines.

Candidates will combine knowledge of HCM systems, human resources, and be able to engage stakeholders in transformation. Your experience may be in consulting firms, large enterprises, or solution implementation partners and ideally you will have experience in building or re-setting complex programs.
This is a Senior Executive Band 1 role, and a suitable package will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
