Lake Macquarie is a growing, thriving regional city of 205,000 people with a great lifestyle and an exciting future. Lake Macquarie City Council employs more than 1,100 people and is a modern, progressive organisation that is responsive to change, contributes to a fairer society and is committed to improving customer experience. Excellence in many areas has been recognised in awards reflecting their ability to transform services by supporting innovation, utilising technology and nurturing collaboration.

As the leader of Organisational Services, you will be a member of the Executive team and Council’s Senior Leadership Network, playing an active role in the leadership of the organisation as a whole and pivotal in linking the organisation’s performance with the expectations of the community.

Your team of more than 200 staff is responsible for providing excellent internal and external customer experience across information technology, people and culture, risk management, business improvement, customer experience, marketing, communications, corporate strategy and reporting, Council business support, property, and business development.

Current opportunities to enhance performance include developing risk-based decision making and capability across the organisation, strategic review of technology, and optimising the significant property portfolio.

We are seeking an empowering leader with a passion for strengthening communities and developing teams and individuals.
