On Thursday 8 June, Derwent held the first breakfast event in its Public Sector Leadership Series in Sydney.
Our guest speaker was Graeme Head, the inaugural NSW Public Service Commissioner, appointed to the role following the establishment of the Public Service Commission in 2011. Graeme spoke about “NSW Public Sector Reform - The First Five Years”, outlining a number of key reforms designed to deliver a more efficient, flexible and multi skilled public service in quick response to rapid changes in the wider economy and community. He highlighted a number of significant achievements, and shared his views on where improvements still need to be realised – the priorities for future reform.
Future events in the series will focus on opportunities for private sector talent within the public sector. Please contact Felicity Stalley or Andrew McEncroe for more information about our Public Sector Practice.
